29. How is your team doing? Five questions to ask in your team wellbeing check

It is very common to become so engrossed in our efforts to impact lives that we overlook the individuals who help make it happen - our team!

Despite our good intentions, it is important that we do not sideline the wellbeing of our team members. After all, they are the heart and soul of our organizations.

Here are five simple questions to ask in your next team wellbeing check:

  1. Are we making progress? Are you proud of what we are achieving as a team? Do you feel connected to our mission and motivated by our impact?

  2. How is the team vibe? Do you feel supported and respected? Is there open communication and collaboration within the team? A positive team culture is essential for maintaining morale and productivity.

  3. Are you growing? Are you provided with opportunities to learn and grow? Do you feel supported in your professional development? Remember, when our team members thrive, so does our mission.

  4. Are you compensated fairly? Are you receiving fair compensation for your hard work? Do you feel recognized and appreciated? Fair pay is not just about the paycheck—it is about showing we value their contributions.

  5. Is our work setup supportive? Are you equipped with the resources and tools you need to succeed? Do you have the time and space to recharge outside of work?

By asking these questions on a regular basis, we can ensure that our mission does not come at the expense of our team's wellbeing.
